This recipe is from clandestine Cake book! IT is dedicated for my friend, Maddie!
Here is what you’ll need:
3 large eggs
170g of self-raising flour
1 table spoon of cocoa dissolved in 2 tablespoons of boiling water!
1 tablespoon of coffee granules dissolved in 2 tablespoons of boiling water!
1.Preheat the oven to 180 degrees c/ 160 fan/ gas mark 4. Grease and line two cake tins. If you don’t have two then you can cut the final cake through the middle and fill the buttercream that way-that is what I always do!
2. Beat the butter and sugar together until ” light & fluffy” . Add an egg at a time and make sure that it is fully combined after each egg. with the last egg add a tablespoon of flour to stop the mixture from curdling. Fold in the remaining flour.
3. Divide the mixture evenly into two bowls. In each bowl put the different flavours and mix together. Pour the two mixture into the cake tin and swirl them together. Pop in the oven!!
4. Bake the cakes for 20-25 minutes until it is springy to touch. Leave to cool xxx Resist the urge to eat!!! xxx
6. Decorate as desired!!! xxxx
